Constant DC-Capacitor Voltage-Control-Based Reactive Power Control Method of Bidirectional Battery Charger for EVs in Commercial Single-Phase Three-Wire Low-Voltage Feeders

This paper addresses power quality compensation with a constant DC-capacitor voltage-control (CDCVC)-based reactive control method for three-leg pulse-width modulated (PWM) rectifier in bidirectional battery charger (BBC) electric vehicles (EVs) commercial single-phase three-wire low-voltage feeders, considering two domestic consumers. The instantaneous flowing into the PWM demonstrates that balanced and sinusoidal source currents, predetermined factor (PF), are obtained consumer equipped BBC, whereas unbalanced distorted currents remain consumers without BBC. simulation experimental results show at PF of 0.90, which is value, source-side those These demonstrate controlling on side CDCVC-based strategy reduces capacity BBC EVs.
